General Product Information
Q: Do your products help with sound of the plastic ostomy bag?
A: Because the pouch is securely in an inner pocket, it is not moving around and thus, plastic noise is lessened. Also, because the pouch is now covered by fabric on each side when it is placed in the inner pocket, there is no rubbing against the skin.
Q: Do you still have to wear an ostomy belt with your products?
A: This is personal preference. Some customers have found they don't need a belt anymore with our products while others have found that a belt gives them extra support in addition to the pocket.
Q: Does the waistband of your products constrict flow of the stoma?
A: We have not made our fabric or waistband so tight that it constricts the stoma as it is important for output to be able to flow.
Q: Do you have kids' products?
A: We currently do not have products that are made specifically for children. Our Swim Wrap, however, comes in small sizes and is a good choice for a child or a small teen (please see sizing chart).
Q: Is the material of your products tight like Spandex?
A: It is not.
Q: Do you have an exercise belt?
A: We do not have a product that is labeled as such, but our Classic Wrap is used by many for exercise. Many people love it because it gently, yet securely, keeps your bag in place so that you can go about your activity. If you enjoy rigorous exercise such as running, jogging, biking, etc., simply use the Classic Wrap in one size smaller than you would normally wear.
Q: How can waste exit the stoma if the wrap is compressing the pouch against the body?
A: The material is a micropoly/elastane blend which has enough stretch to move with you as your pouch fills. It is not so tight that it constricts your stoma.
Q: Are your products breathable in the summertime?
A: All of our products are breathable. The micro/poly products are treated with a "wicking" finish so that moisture is pulled away from your body. The cotton products naturally breathe.

All About Wraps
Q: Why would someone choose a wrap over the underwear?
A: Reasons for choosing the wrap over the underwear are as follows:
- Customers can wear their own underwear with a wrap
- For someone with a higher stoma
- For stomas with heavy output that need a firmer, more supportive pocket
Q: What are the features of the different wraps?
A: Please see below for information on our different wraps. We also have product videos here: www.ostomysecrets.com/osto_video.php

The Classic Wrap
- Our Classic Wraps are 90% micropoly and 10% elastane fabrics and are super popular for exercise: yoga, running, golf, hockey, etc.
- You can wear your regular underwear with them and place your pouch in the pocket and "adjust" the level to where you like it. With the right fit, your stoma will have space to empty without being constricted.
- The Classic Wrap is made to fit comfortably and depending on your activity level while wearing it, you might like the fit to be snug or loose. If you would like a snugger fit, simply wear the Classic Wrap in one size smaller than you would normally wear.
- It is a great intimacy wrap for men.
- Many people will use a bigger size at night so they have more protection, while they enjoy the smaller size for the day.
Q: Is the Classic Wrap like a girdle and will it flatten the stomach?
A: It is not a girdle or made out of that type of material, but it does give a nice comfortable covering and provides support to your ostomy. As the pouch fills, the pocket keeps the bag cradled and supported so that the pouch doesn't pull on your skin. The Classic Wrap does not flatten your stomach like a control top pair of panties as this is not the best thing for a stoma to be flattened. However, because the ostomy bag is in the pocket, you will achieve a lower profile with the Classic Wrap than you would without it.
Q: Will the Classic Wrap roll?
A: It should not roll on you if you have the right size and have the band positioned correctly. It is designed so that the waist is a little smaller and goes in to follow the body's contours. Tip: When wearing it, make sure the pouch is securely centered in the pocket and that the wrap is pulled down flatly around your torso.
Q: Can the Classic Wrap's line be seen through clothing?
A: This will depend on the fabric and tightness of what a person is wearing. The line of the wrap should be concealed when wearing normal, comfortably fitted clothes. However, if you are wearing something very tight, the line of the wrap might be seen.
Q: Can the Classic Wrap be used for swimming?
A: We do not suggest this as the material is heavier and when wet might not be comfortable. We've made a Swim Wrap for this purpose.
Q: How do you wear the Classic Wrap?
A: The instructions are as follows: Simply slide the wrap up over your hips and position the center seam in the center of your body (some customers prefer to slide over their head, like they are putting on a shirt). Once the Classic Wrap is positioned, place your pouch inside the correct pocket. For comfort, it is suggested to fold the pouch up (if colostomy or ileostomy) one fold so that it sits in a comfortable place (urostomy bag has a valve so it has to rest downward).
Tip: Make sure you start with an empty pouch so you can position it correctly. As it fills, the bag easily adjusts within the pocket and stays in place.
Q: Do you need to wear underwear under the Classic Wrap?
A: The wrap can be worn with or without underwear. The way you wear the wrap in either scenario is the same. However, when you wear it with underwear, you will need to wear panties/briefs that come up to the bottom of your wafer. Then the wrap, once you get your pouch in the pocket, will rest easily upon your stomach with the bag securely tucked in and over your underwear.

The Swim Wrap
- The Swim Wrap is not waterproof. It is designed to cover the ostomy pouch and to provide a place for the bag to rest as it fills until you can get to the restroom to empty.
- The Swim Wrap is shorter and more form-fitting than the Classic Wrap. It is made of bathing suit material (84% Nylon/16% Lycra). The Swim Wrap is designed with a right and left side small pocket, making it lower profile for wearing with a bathing suit. Tip: Often ostomates will wear a smaller bag when swimming or going to the beach such as a disposable bag or a smaller bag. If wearing a regular sized pouch, we recommend folding the bag up one fold so it will fit better in the small pocket.

The Vixen Wrap
- The Vixen Wrap is a women's intimacy wrap.
- When choosing which size is right for you, please use your hip measurement. If you are in between sizes, we suggest getting the smaller size to ensure the Vixen Wrap will be properly fitted during intimacy.
- The main band is 90% microfiber with 10% elastic while the front panel is 92% polyester with 8% elastic. The fabric and feel is very elegant and supple.
